The HOME STAR ENERGY program is an initiative by the Barack Obama government that is sure to bring better days for the environment. It has not only spurred people to think healthier and act wiser, but has also put pressure on other developed economies around the world to think the way America does.
Under this program, every home owner who is ready to go in for weatherization of his or her home is given an incentive by way of encouragement. By letting the home be repaired and patched up wherever necessary, the energy efficiency of the home improves – and that is the real motive behind The HOME STAR ENERGY program.
It is not only the savings in the renovation that the homeowner gets but the patient and observant home owner would notice that ever since the HVAC systems and sealing in the walls, windows and doors have been done over, the electric bills have reduced considerably.
It would such a relief, hence, to get the HVAC systems done over. A whopping 40% of the electricity bill is for the heating or the air conditioning that one has to get for the home. This is a little better if one has a solar heater or a central heating system powered from the Earth’s core heat.
